Without the bridge they can be paired in the app together but it is limited and would be best this way if you only want on/off controls and brightness & color change functionality in the same room. It would be best to get a bridge if you’re looking for more functionality.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the website says you can control up to 10 lights without the bridge. I don't know how well it works as I got the bridge when I bought my first set of bulbs.
