The Hue hub requires an Ethernet connection.
But you could always use a wireless bridge and connect the Hue hub to that.

Have this connected via the SmartThings hub, which must be directly connected to an ethernet connection to your router. I haven't personally seen any hubs that are wireless to date, but am sure some company is working on it.

The bridge itself needs to be hooked up to your wireless router via an ethernet cord. We keep the bridge on top of our wireless router.
