• I have not ripped any CD's yet, but I have ripped many DVD's and Bluray's, and the process has been smooth as could be. I'd imagine CD's would be even easier as you don't need any extra software, you just rip the music straight to iTunes. If all you plan on using this for is CD's though...then I would definitely look into external CD Burners only - which would be much cheaper.

• We use this drive on the wife's Surface Pro3 and my Mac to download music to iTunes with no problems at all.

• Haven't specifically uploaded, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. It rips CDs fine, which is essentially the same thing, just a different destination.
