Please be sure the camera lens is not covered with road film. Dirt on the camera lens will make it unusable. Take a wet a cloth and wipe off the camera lens. That will fix it up until it gets dirty again. At night, is there a vehicle light that is shining directly on the camera lens? Possibly a light meant to illuminate the license plate at night and it's shining on the camera lens. If so, I recommend to turn that light off or point it in a different direction. There are Picture Adjustment settings in the Pioneer AVH-2500NEX that effect the camera input. With the vehicle safely stopped with the parking brake engaged, from the in-dash receiver's home screen touch the Gears > Tool Box > Picture Adjustment. Under Picture Adjustment be sure to select the camera input. Here Brightness, Contrast, Color, Hue, Dimmer, and Temperature settings are available.
