Are you able to adjust the bass? null

I have not found any way of adjusting the bass. I wish that option was available.

Our BackBeat FIT does not feature sound adjustments besides volume control, but most phones and media players include an equalizer that allow you to tune the sound more to your liking.

Not that I am aware of. But for me there is plenty of bass which is one of the reasons I got these. I compared about 6 earbud styles at the store and chose these. The bass is very good with out drowning out anything else.
