I have a Canon RF lens and the lens cap fits just fine with the filter on
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There should be no problem. I use lens filters on all my lenses and have no problem with putting the caps on. Here is why. For most lenses, the filter screws into the ring around the lens. The lens cap either snaps over the filter or, if spring loaded, you can pinch the tabs on the cap, put it over the filter and release - no problem. BTW, there is one exception - if you use a slip on cap (there are no springs present). In this case, I would recommend buying the filter (a good investment) and testing it out. You can always return it. Hope that this helps.
