Idk about standard CD I'm assuming so. As long as you get the disk version of the ps5 then yes you will be able to use your old ps4 games on this new console

Yes the ps5 will play ps4 games before I got the ps5 game I played call of duty IV a ps4 game on the ps5 system and it worked great. And yes I jus tried and it plays a CD

Not sure about CDS but there are videos on YT about backwards compatibility. PS4 discs do work on the console. Except maybe a few that were mentioned in the videos.

There's 2 different versions. A digital one. And one that you can use physical discs in. And it is compatible with some PS4 games. I would google it to find out if it works with what you're looking for.

It depends what version you get - we purchased the one that takes discs and it is compatible with PS4 games. I believe there is a second console which costs about $100 less that doesn't use discs.
