Whether or not you need an optical disc drive is up to you, Be it for playing older titles that you own on disc or even using it as a blu-ray player. If you don't need either then digital may be the way to go. Look online at the comparison of both.

There is another bay that accepts M.2 SSD storage for a second drive.

Just don't get suckered into buy a Monster Cable. They are a rip off. There are plenty of alternatives that do the exact same thing for a fraction of the cost.

They will confirm it has not been activated and then go from there. If it has been activated then unfortunately they will not be able to provide a new one.
