- Answer The PS5 Slim Digital Edition has over 100GB more storage than the original model. (825GB Original vs. 1 TB on the Slim) More importantly, it has the same storage upgrade options (internal M.2 SSD for all games, external USB drive for PS4 games to play, and PS5 games as storage only). It can play all the same PS4 and PS5 games that the first model of PS5 can play. TLDR: It's the same as the original PS5 Digital Edition, just smaller, with slightly more storage and the option to add a disc drive with an add-on later.
