Hey there. If it has been too long it has been sitting, then a quick blower should clear out the dust and it should be back running.
I reccomend that you take it to best buy and return it, they will give a replacement console.

The fan turning on briefly then shutting down can indicate the system detects a problem and powers off to prevent damage.

That’s definitely frustrating, especially with a brand-new console. This isn’t normal behavior. It could be a hardware defect or a power issue. Try using a different outlet and power cable. If it keeps happening, we recommend contacting Sony Support or returning the console for a replacement under warranty
