Flash drives don't make your computer faster. They are for storage only. You are confusing this with memory or RAM.

No. This is for backup purposes only. You might try adding more RAM to speed it up, but ultimately your processor will determine overall speed in conjunction with a your hard drive. A 7200RPM drive will be faster than a 5400RPM one.
