“Does anyone know for sure that this drive will allow me to move all of my iMovie files off my MacBook Pro to free up space. It seems too good to be true that it would be as easy as plugging in a USB stick, then transferring all the files onto the drive?”

One needs to know how many gbs your iMovie files are to answer that question. Typically one can search for those files and how much space they are using. Good luck

Please ask for a larger one. You can also used this one for some of your files that will equal this 64B memory amount.

If you're going to access the files often or use them to edit, I would recommend using an external hard drive for stability and repeated use as these are not usually meant to be used as editing drives.
