“PNY 64gb USB 3.0 model P-FD64GTBOP-GE, 93000108G-B-64GTBPUS New drive is not recognize in windows 7 computer. Tried three different ports. Red internal LED flashes continually. Smaller 16gb USB 3.0 flash memory modules work where the new 64gb flash drive is not recognized. Tried formatting the flash drive -- no luck. Tried 3 different windows 7 computers. Also tried it on an ASUS F3Sseries laptop, same problem. Probably is a simple problem I cannot solve. Thankyou.”

It sounds like you may have a defective drive. I have had this happen before and had to get a replacement. Especially with it happening on different computers I'd say it's a device issue and not a windows issue.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you tried it on different computers before formatting, then it might just be a defective flash drive. As long as you have at least a USB 2.0 compatible port, the device is supposed to work right away and it's formatted using FAT32 file system, which is recognized by all common operating systems.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like you've tested it on several computers. I use it on my Windows 7 Machine to transfer files to a Vista machine. No issues. As much as I hate to say it, I think you may have a bad flash drive. Electronics do fail and a lot of times it's right out of the box. Best Buy should swap it for you no problem.

It is not uncommon to receive a bad one or one that you may have had went bad. It does happen. I would return it and try another one which will probably fix your problem.
