• It should... I installed this in my Wife's 2010 MacBook Pro and it pretty much doubled the speed. She complained that it was almost unusable before the upgrade.

• It did on my old laptop! I got Acer and I used it only for my car

• If you're increasing the amount of installed RAM in the PC with this RAM, you will likely see some performance improvement. Usually increasing RAM will show the most improvement when running multiple programs simultaneously
