• No, the heart rate monitor only works with the watch.

• The chest strap and sensor that comes with this FT4 does not have Bluetooth connectivity. One would need to secure the H7 Bluetooth Smart sensor. This accessory would work with both a fitness app running on one's phone and with the FT4. - Mike @ Polar USA
