The 3.5mm will be analog audio. No digital audio signal will be passed through using this method. If possible, run HDMI from your box to the TV and then HDMI ARC to the MagniFi mini sound bar. Or HDMI from the box to the TV, then optical cable from the TV to the MagniFi Mini sound bar.
