“Do I have to have speakers to enjoy the surround sound?”

• Do you mean extra speakers? No you don't and you can't really add speakers unless your going to use a receiver. This puts out virtual surround sound by using the 6 speakers that are in the main unit. It's basically meant to be experienced the way it is out of the box (after setup, of course).

• If you're looking for true surround sound, then skip this altogether and get a traditional setup. This will work great if you have the perfect environment meaning a squared room. That's how these type of bars work. They reflect sound of the walls to simulate surround sound
