make sure your TV has audio pass through and that you've set the "audio out" on your TV to optical
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the TV/soundbar it sounds a lot like my situation. Polk told me that my TV outputs, both Optical and Audio(3.5mm), were not setup to provide audio out. However, my TV worked just fine with other soundbars previously, especially with the Audio Out cable. I did try the Optical with my DVD player, as my DirecTv doesn't have an Optical, and it worked. I am not sure what you can do, except maybe get in touch with Polk maybe. ? I ended up taking mine back because I found a much better sounding Klipsch for only $30 more. Good luck figuring it all out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll probably have to check your TV's settings to make sure it's outputting to optical. Aside from that, do you have ARC on the TV? That way you can do HDMI to the speaker, then connect bluray and cable box to TV.

I dropped in my Samsung when I first hooked it up, and there was a setting. Changed it, and all was good. I can also tell you that if you have the alternate connection available via HDMI, the sound seemed to be better, at least it was for me. You'll want to look and see if there is an HDMI in port labeled like this: HDMI (ARC). If so, you can use it and things will be grand. If not, the look again for the switch in the TV sound settings. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It may be an issue with your blu ray players's out put. They are easily damaged on some models.
