Hi MichaelZ, The rating of 25 watts refers to the recommended minimum wattage rating of an amplifier to be used with these speakers. While your receiver may be capable of producing 145 watts per channel, it is unlikely to ever do so. The wattage amount produced by an amplifier is determined by the speaker it is partnered with, and the volume level selected by the equipment user. Most modern speakers are pulling little more than 20 watts per channel from their partnering receiver/amplifier when playing quite loud in a regular domestic setting.
