They are great! Wife stuck the little clip to dash and it hold great. Even on a semi curved surface. If in question use a little velcro. Otherwise a great product and holds well.

I had to remove the popsocket on my phone & move it toward the top of the phone to fit in my car mount.

Your best chance of getting it to stick well to the vinyl covering is to clean it with a cotton ball and alcohol first before sticking it to the dash. If the dash has a very rough surface it may not hold as well as if you were to find a place with a smooth surface. Mine fell off as I did not clean it good enough the first time.
