The top of the running board is approximately 9.5 inches from the floor when running at a grade of 0 degrees. The treadmill does rise up to a grade of 12 degrees and lowers to a grade of -3 degrees. I have my treadmill in an area of the basement with a ceiling height of 85 inches. Im about 6 ft tall. My head doesn't touch the celing.
