Yes they are. Strong sweat absorbent material too not plastic like. Hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They are padded, but I would not purchase this bike. After 2 months of waiting to get the bike; I finally received it last week. I put the bike together and the screen would not turn on. I returned the bike this week for a refund. Look for a better quality bike.
