• Yes, this completely replaces your old sprinkler controler. But all controls are via their website or app. So you won't have any manual controls on the device itself. I don't miss that at all. I love being able to set and check on my sprinklers from anywhere.

• Yes, this replaces your sprinkler timer. Rachio makes an outdoor box that you can use to install the Iro outdoors.

• Yes, this will replace your existing controller. If you mount outside, you will need the waterproof housing.
