2 player co op campaign, 4 player multi player battle mode. Fun game.

up to 4 on either tv or handheld mode

It is 1-2 players. First player is Rayman and the 2nd player would be the little guy that helps Rayman. If you just do 1 player, you control both characters.

If you have two Nintendo switches up to 4 at the same time

It's listed as a multiplayer game. Other than that I have no idea how many players can p;lay.

Four player co-op on the switch when docked. I believe it is also four player in handheld mode, but wouldn't recommend the smaller screen unless needed!

On the TV = 1-4 players ... Removed from charging base with controllers NOT connected = 1-4 players ... In handheld mode "with" controllers connected = 1 player mode.
