Yes, it's normal for the mouse to click when booting your PC. The click you hear is the scroll wheel lock activating when the mouse receives power, so nothing to be concerned about! I had the same question before I realized what it is.

Yes. That's because of the scroll wheel lock mechanism which can be clicked to disengage the electronic lock for free wheel scrolling.

I’ve not had that problem before, so I’m not sure. Maybe try unplugging and plugging the mouse back in. Other than that, if it doesn’t affect the performance any, I’d say it’s probably just a weird thing.

Scroll mode is activated digitally (not a mechanical switch like Logitech). What you're hearing is probably the mouse setting the scroll mode when Windows loads and it gets profile information. Stonks do go up, too.

Yes, that's normal as if it was on loose mode then it would by default switch to normal scrolling mode. I've seen it switch like that for me as well and sometimes it goes from normal scrolling mode to loose mode. I don't think its anything weird and might get patched in a future synapse update if people get concerned enough.

I don’t know about whether or not it’s normal but mine does it too. Didn’t even put two and two together until i read your question. It sounds like the clutch on the scroll wheel engaging and disengaging as the power to the USB port changes.
