You don't have to install software unless you want to customize keys. Keyboard is not as load as a mechanical keyboard, but not as quiet as the apple chiclet style keyboards.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You only have to install the Razer synapse software if you want to make macros and use those kind of keyboard features. And the keys are very quiet on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's hella loud but works real nice plug it and no soft ware download just plug in and use
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works ok as a normal keyboard. The chiclet keys have no sound. However, if you use a dual-boot computer or set BIOS menu options, computers don't always recognize the keyboard until the operating system (e.g. windows) starts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes you can no software needed .... soft key no clicking sounds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can hook it to any computer without installing Razor Synapse as long as the computer is connected to the internet to automatically download the drivers it needs just to operate and yes is it a soft touch keyboard without sound when pressing keys.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yea I think it's pretty much a plugin and go keyboard. I don't remember having to install any kind or programs. And yes it does have a pretty good clacking sound to it. But it's a fairly soft sound to me. Probably also because I type lightly on the keys
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This keyboard needed no extra hardware for windows 8.1and ubuntu 14.04 and 14.10. It does not make a whole lot of sound, but it does make some sound. It certainly is not the clickity-clack of the more expensive model, but it is louder than the average laptop keyboard. I would expect that it may be quieter than the standard workplace keyboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is very quiet and no you don't need the software.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Windows should pick up on the drivers. Not sure about linux
