Best Keyboard EVER!

Amazing keyboard, easy to install, LOVE IT! I have always wanted a back lit keyboard and when it came to a budget, I was lost, and then I came across the DeathStalker back lit gaming keyboard by Razer and I must say, this is the best keyboard I have ever purchased. I have horrible wrists and hands, that cramp up often as I work and complete college courses all from home, so I am on my computer a lot. So far with the Razer Deathstalker, I have experienced no pain in my hands or wrists. The angle of the keyboard, the size, and the easy transition between the keys makes using this keyboard absolutely amazing and I will never go back to another brand. As soon as I can afford to, I am looking to get more products by Razer. The computer mouse is next for sure. Then I would love some speakers and ultimately a Razer laptop. #PCGoals

I was looking for a gaming keyboard, and I contemplated between buying this and the Razer mechanical keyboard. In the end, I decided on not buying a mechanical keyboard because they are expensive, and from looking at the reviews, they seem to be having problems. Also. I wanted a wrist rest on my keyboard, and the Razer mechanical keyboard doesn't have one that's as nice as the DealthStalker.
I then decided to buy the Perixx PX-3000, Programmable Backlit Gaming Keyboard. I wanted a keyboard with backlighting, and of all the ones I have seen, it was least expensive. Bad move. There were several things about that keyboard I didn't care for. I immediately sent it back and purchased the Razer DeathStalker.
I am very happy with my purchase. The keys are very responsive, and the backlighting is fantastic.
Let me list out the pros and cons.
Pros:
1. Excellent backlighting. Very bright - great for gaming sessions in low light.
2. Very comfortable wrist rest
3. No need to use the Synapse software. I don't ever use the Fn key
4. Keys are very responsive. It might take a little bit of getting used to the style of keys. I have always used keyboards with thick keys. The keys on this one are slim, and very low to the ground if you catch my meaning. I was apprehensive about buying it for this reason. I have no complaints about it whatsoever. It probably took about 20 minutes to get used to it.
Cons:
1. This is not really a con at the moment, but I think he letters on the keys will fade sooner than later. That's just an impression. I will post an update if they do.
2. Very susceptible to get oil on fingers. I don't really care about this, but for someone who might, watch out.
3. I wish there was an option to change the backlight color to Orange or Yellow. I am not a huge fan of green.
In the end, the cons aren't really cons, but its something to take note for potential buyers.

Awesome keyboard for the price, soft button feel, but still very easy to use. Looks pretty slick too, I got this for my wife and she's been really happy with it. Would recommend to anybody that wanted a higher quality keyboard at a decent price.

For the Basic User + Mediocre Gamer

Considering this product for standard usage on a PC? You're all good to go here.
As a gamer there are a few pros and cons. But these stipulations MAY vary on ones hand size, natural posture, & striking accuracy/efficiency.
So first off, the macro ability of this board goes a LONG way. As stated in the product description, there is a feature that allows you to record macro combinations to your liking through the included software. In this department there is no issue of any sort.
Second, the chiclet-key layout. THIS is where the various aspects of the user depend on how effective the usage may be. In MY situation, iI have small/average sized hands which result in me having to stretch my fingers for the appropriate key-strike, as well as me moving my wrist from their rest position. This may not be a factor for those individuals with larger hands and/or longer appendages.
Third. the board DOES have retractable risers, as nearly ALL keyboards have. However, there isn't much height given when they are placed into the raised position.
Fourth. The wrist-rest section of the keyboard is NOT RUBBER padding. This is a common misconception of the features of this board. The section in question is actually ALL plastic with a High-Gloss finish and a honeycomb design. There is also some texturing there that MAY be utilized as a grip support when resting wrists there. This surface CAN gather a bit of dirt & grim from the wrist and other contacts. I myself, have remedied this by using clear-packaging tape across the length of the rest-surface to avoid any build-up.
OVERALL. The board has a GREAT build quality although there is a small bit of flex VERTICALLY at the center of the board. But this is only an issue if one has the board sitting on a gap-surface.However the board is by NO MEANS, flimsy. The back-lighting is also phenomenal for well-lit & the darkest of working conditions. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product for the curious browser & wish them Well-Usage! ENJOY!

Nice Keyboard, Some Flaws

Overall my Deathstalker keyboard is of high quality, and I enjoy a gaming-quality keyboard with chiclet keys. However, it doesn't always work until the operating system boots, and one can't use it in a dual-boot mode or to operate the BIOS menu. Razer customer support insists this is typical of gaming keyboards and some BIOS. They couldn't explain why, or point to a list of BIOS for which this is true.

Best Keyboard I've ever used

I've been computing since the C64 days. I've used the great, but noisy IBM keyboards, Commodore, HP, Acer, you name it. I previously had the Razer Lycosa backlit gamers keyboard. It had a USB hub, mic and headphone jacks, media controls, a wrist rest and notches to enable rolling the cords up around it. After about four years, it started to flake out on me. The touch pad with the media and lighting controls went nuts.
This new monster has a much superior feel to the keys, plus I like chicklet keys; they allow for fewer mistakes. Each key has a good, positive click (feel, not sound). The green is more pleasant to look at, IMO, than the Lycosa's blue. All the controls are on actual keys this time. They are used via a 'Function' key, just exactly like on my laptop keyboard. The font is pleasant and easy to read also. It's kind of Starcraft like, which I like because I'm a Starcraft nut.
My one minor gripe is the lack of USB hub. I had my mouse plugged into the keyboard before. This is really a minor gripe against such a great keyboard. Well done Razer.

Purchased for my brother's gaming PC that I built for him, the keys on this keyboard resemble keys that you would see come out of the box with a standard Desktop Purchase if you have bought a desktop in the last 2 years. The keys are very recessed into the keyboard and Personally I would like there to be a little bit more give to them as I use a much more expensive mechanical keyboard but he was very happy with it and it does look good with all those green LED's letting you see the keys at night. Nice and sturdy build quality, easy to use if you have small/medium hands like I do and found it to be very well priced for some of the features.

My roommate goes to bed well before me. The back light keys are exactly what I needed. Additionally, it goes well with my gaming rig.
Aesthetically pleasing and very functional. Some people might want some more clickity-clack but this is a good compromise between the clickity-clack and silent/no depth styles.

I have always been able to type much faster on the chicklet style keyboard then on a standard mechanical key keyboard. This keyboard has the same quality of construction as all razor keyboards have and I can type and play games lightning fast. The backlighting is great. Just wish it had multiple colors.

Very cool keyboard, now I can play with dim lights since I can see the keyboard with the green lights. Also I have programmed all speed keys for the game on my keyboard. I highly recommend it. Don't forget to add the razor booster to make your fps faster.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He was really surprised. He had his eye on this keyboard but knew he didn't have the money for it. When he came to visit, he accidentally left the page up when he was looking at it. So, I bought it for him.

My teenage son has gone through 5 keyboards in the last couple of years. This one seems to be holding up to the gaming impact. The light up keys are nice and bright. No more dealing with batteries and intermittent signals when they're low.
