It will receive local broadcast (in my case....up to 60 miles away) free over the air channels only. No cable or PPV channels.

Ive had this about a year and half now....can get the major networks (Fox, NBC, CBS, PBS) as well as some less exciting but equally fun channels (escape, MEtv, Bounce, Grit). You wont get any premium channels, just the generic ones but to know that you wont have a bill for any of it makes TV fun again....still boring. I like to watch commercials too. We do pay for Netflix though, which we probably use more than anything

The HD channels that can be able to view using this HDTV antenna is not available. But it help you to pick up standard-definition broadcast and HD 
 signals.

No, you won't be able to get cable stations, but you will receive over the air stations like ABC, NBC, PBS and Fox. You can use Google to search which stations are available in your area.
