This antenna will pick up over-the-air signals from your local tv stations. And yes, it'll work when satellite tv reception is interrupted by weather.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is a great supplement to your satellite service. This is designed to receive digital broadcasts local stations. You are very likely to be able to receive several major network broadcasts and miscellaneous other local stations as well. Since this is a local broadcast, it is not as vulnerable to interference from bad weather like a satellite signal would be. It's a great way to pick up news and weather reports during storms. Once you have the antenna connected, extend the 2 antenna poles to their full length. Then plug-in the power to the wall outlet and select the "channels" area of the TV menu. Find the "Auto Select" feature and allow the TV to assign all available channels. Feel free to reposition the antenna several times and repeat the "Auto Select" feature- experiment for maximum Channel reception.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never experienced any problems receiving digital antenna broadcasts during inclement weather.
