• You could. Also mine is not on the window, its about 6 feet away from the window, I just pointed the antennas towards the window and works perfectly

• You should be able to, just make sure there is a clear line of sight for the Antenna.

• Although placement near the window should not be necessary, an extension would work.

• I agree i needed a longer cord but it was a perm cord
