Does this antenna work in basement null

There is no basement in this dwelling.

There is no simple answer. It depends on whether the broadcast picture is strong enough in the basement. Some basements have windows in them. If you position the antenna on the inside of the window you might find it works better. If you have several basement windows you might try each window and see which one is best.

That largely depends on whether you are rural or near a metropolitan area. I have to put mine in a window here (semi rural, mountain foothills with metal roof and block house).
