My understanding from the directions is that it has to be installed on the metal back of the phone. That said I found this to be no help at all with my cell signal. It was basically a really ugly sticker on the back of my phone. The good news is that if you do try it and get the same results I did that you can return it and it can be removed from your device without leaving residue or scratching up your phone. Good Luck either way

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must place the REACH Antenna in contact with the phone. My RA was placed on my iPhone 6S, and the Spigen thin clear plastic case snapped on with no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was told that it had to be touching the actual back of the phone, but that I did find that when I need to remove it - it left no residue and or damage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It needs to be applied directly to the back of the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.needs to go on the phone easy to put on and remove if needed, leaves on marks on phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Need to be touching the metal on the phone. needs to actually line up with the antenna line on the back of the phone to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Reach Antenna is engineered to couple with the antenna inside your phone. Therefore it requires precision placement in the x,y, and z planes relative to the phone for optimum performance. Our adhesive backing and installation tray insure correct alignment directly on the back of the phone. The addition of extra material (even if very thin) could have significant impact on Reach Antenna performance.
