You may need to "turn on" your camera which is in the rear of your vehicle. Feel all around your camera for some type of button, push and hold for 5 seconds. Get into your car, start it and check your camera to see if it works. If not check with the maker or take it to any Best Buy and the Geek Squad will help you, they are well knowledgeable in these areas.
