Preparing your car
We'll go through a preinstallation checklist to ensure we return your vehicle to you in the same condition as when you dropped it off.
Factory-installed look and functionality
We'll mount the camera securely to the rear of your vehicle, wire the camera to a new or existing video monitor inside vehicle, and secure and conceal all wiring beneath trim panels or carpeting.
Note: A new or existing video monitor is required. Speak with a local Geek Squad Autotech to determine your exact needs, parts and pricing.
Final steps
To finish, we'll perform a postinstallation checklist, vacuum the work area, and give you a demonstration of the camera's features.
How to redeem and schedule your installation:
After ordering, you'll get a redemption e-mail containing a key code that validates your order. Find your nearest installation center and call to schedule an appointment.
What to bring to your installation appointment:
Bring a printout of your redemption e-mail, the camera you want installed, and any other parts you may have purchased for the installation.
*Standard installation does not include vehicle-specific parts or accessories. For camera installation, the cost of parts will vary. Such parts and any additional parts or extensive labor are extra.
Your Geek Squad Autotech will provide an estimate prior to performing work that requires an additional charge (including nonstandard installation) and any additional parts. Any additional charges will be assessed after the installation is complete.
For installation information for your vehicle, find a store with an installation center and speak with a Geek Squad Autotech.

Happy That I Got It Done
Posted .I have had this done once before on an old 99 Malibu on a single din stereo. Now I just had it done on a 07 Ford Edge double din and backup camera. I am happy with the professional look and installation. It would have taken me twice as long to do and wouldn't look as neat. The reason for my four star review is because the guy that worked on my vehicle got distracted by a coworker, other customers, and his phone, making it take a little longer. He also didn't wash his hands or use gloves when messing with dirty parts of the car then taking out the liner/trim inside and getting the liner on the roof inside all dirty from his hands. He also forgot to give me the remote that came with my stereo and I had to make another trip to go get it, luckily I was still in the area, and although not his fault, I had to ask him to cut the bracket for the stereo since the double din face plate was a tight fit and didn't want to detach and be put back in. A simple cut of the stereo "harness" solved that issue. Other then that, everything works as it should I would have it done again. It was pricey, however if you wait and for a sale or good deal, they will sometimes offer free installation with purchase of a stereo and thats what I did. I paid $130 for backup camera installation though.

Very professional attitude and installation qualit
||Posted .Had the geek squad (Rancho Cucamonga, CA store) install a backup camera and monitor in my 2010 Chevy Equinox. The Installer, Antonio, was very professional, knowledable and carefull. Care was taken to ask my preferences during the entire effort. I was very inpressed with the effort taken. It took almost 3 hours. Glad I didn't try it myself.

saved me HOURS
||Posted .I had purchased a "wireless" back up camera to install on my ancient Tacoma pickup. The installation manual that came with the unit was worthless, essentially no information. I went to the manufacturer web page, and it was some better, but the obvious errors in the illustrations. So having professional help was going to be crucial. Making the appointment was very easy, and I arrived as scheduled. There was a slight wait, less than 15 minutes, while the prior customer was finishing up. The technician was very courteous and listened to my desired goal, where I wanted the monitor mounted, etc. He pointed out that he would choose NOT to install this as a wireless unit (which I thought would have been simpler) but his experience was the picture on the monitor is degraded by lots of electrical interference in most of the installs that he had performed. I valued that advice and went with his recommendation. The fee was the same, so made no difference to me. The installation was quicker than estimated, the job was very professional, it has worked flawlessly, and I find it very nice to see out the back of my pickup, esp helpful with parking and parking lot maneuvering. I would never have gotten this done, pulling the dash, hooking into the electrical system, etc. What was I thinking?? I would try to talk anyone out of doing this install on your own; unless you're skilled at such events. I know that I would have spent 6-8 hours to do this, with a much less likely to have a satisfactory outcome. It does not matter if you bought the unit at Best Buy, although in retrospect, I could have used some guidance when picking the model to buy.

Back Up camera Install Issues
||Posted .The backup camera installation was not quite completed. An accessory was not installed and an option to run the camera through the vehicles battery was not disclosed upfront. Tech left interior trims undone and screws littered in the trunk of the vehicle. Took pictures in case needed for proof. This review applicable to the tech at the Issaquah store.

Install of a Pre-Purchased Back-Up Camera
||Posted .Bought a back-up camera for my car on a different website. BB didn't carry one made specifically for my vehicle. Used GS to install it. Took a little longer than they said it would, but it works just fine. This approach saved me probably 70% off of having one dealer installed. I recommend GS.

Q: QuestionI have ‘14 Mercedes CLA 250. Can you install backup camera? What camera do I need to buy? Can you wire it to my existing monitor?
Asked by Christian.
- A:Answer Goto the dealer. It may cost a fortune, you'll get better product service and way better installation services. Not to mention, with the number of sensors the MB has you dont want random people foolishly installing anything in that car.

Q: QuestionCan you install a backup camera on a 2014 Prius Two that already has a screen? If so, what would be the cost? Thanks!
Asked by Amanda.
- A:Answer Hi Amanda! Thank you for the great question! We should be able to, no problem. We can hook it up to your screen and even have it automatically display the camera view when the Prius is put into reverse. Whether you already have the camera and are ready to go or if you still need some help picking out one, I'd recommend connecting with your local Best Buy Autotech specialists to get that down. Then they'll be able to set you up with an appointment to get it installed. You can find information about your local store at www.bestbuy.com/storelocator. Thank you!

Q: QuestionI bought a back up camera for my suv from wal mart. Was wondering if the geek squad .can install it for me?
Asked by Wandamill.
- A:Answer Absolutely! I've done this twice, once on my car and once on my wife's SUV. Both times I purchased the camera from somewhere else and purchased the Camera install from bestbuy.com. However, be careful if you're doing a mirror install, the 4-5 installers I've dealt with for various installs will refuse to do a mirror. However, I was allowed to purchase the regular install and mount the mirror monitor myself.
