The tech installed my front and rear dash camera in my Hyundai Elantra. The install was done fairly quickly while I shopped and waited in the store. All I had to do was get in my car and go. The install was perfect. I would have given 5 stars but had to wait 30+ minutes after my scheduled appointment to be acknowledged by the techs.

Installed front & rear dash cameras and hard wired to the fuse box so the parking monitor would work. The wires are properly hidden and when finished he showed me which fuses were used and where the ground wire was hooked up in case I need to move it. This is the third car I've brought to Best Buy for dash cam installation.

This is my third Rexing dashcam combination. The first one was installed in my 2017 Veloster. The second one was installed in my 2019 Veloster 2.0 Premium. This one was installed on my 2024 Kona Limited. All three dash cams were installed by Best Buy, since it is convenient and comes with a great installation warranty. I haven’t had a single problem with any of my cameras in baking hot South Texas. I chose not to install the intelligent monitor on this camera because it’s just another thing that has to be mounted on the windshield — too much windshield real estate for something I wasn’t particularly interested in, anyway. Looking forward to the 4k forward facing video, as the last dash cam I installed on my Veloster was limited to 1080p. Really looking forward to a hassle-free experience from Rexing again.

Great job on making the dash cam install look good on my 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali but I requested that it gets wired hot/ always and they said it was but it shuts off once the vehicle is turned off.

I had a dash cam installed in my Chevy Cruze 2017 LT many years ago and it still working. It's still hanging with the same sticker that they use to stick on the windshield and it works perfect still and they charged less than $100. A great deal. Great work! I recommend anyone who needs a dash cam installed. Get it installed by these guys.

My car started shocking me after the install. My screen started glitching on my brand new car. Dealer couldn’t fix because it wasn’t done at the dealer. My panel was broken and glued during installation. I since had it uninstalled no longer getting shocked but my screen still is messed up and I paid for this. Not to mention I paid 350 for the cam that I’m no longer using and all the wires are cut.

Best Buy doesn't state anywhere I can find that they only install dashcams that they sell. If you give them a high-end camera that they haven't seen before, they are unable and unwilling to install it. This is something they should have stated up-front.

I purchased a dash & rear view cam and wanted it hardwired to my car. I figured it could do this myself but I wanted to make sure it was done right so I made an appointment for a Saturday to get in installed. I was in the store at the time I made this appointment and confirmed with another employee that I could make it for Saturday.
On Saturday, I drove out of my way to only do this one thing and when I arrive I’m told that the guy who installs things doesn’t work on Saturday’s. The supervisor was unable to switch my appointment time to a day this guy works, so I just got a refund.
Fix your scheduling system, as I can still see multiple Saturday options. I was nice about this huge error, but you know others won’t be as nice.

When purchasing the dash cam using the Best Buy app, the app recommended a $60 Geek Squad dash cam installation product, which I purchased and then proceeded to schedule the appointment.
At the appointment, the mobile install tech informed me that I bought the wrong installation, as the dash cam I purchased was a dual cam product (front and rear) and would require an $80 installation. Mildly annoying that Best Buy’s own app steered me wrong, but oh well. I upgraded to the $80 product and went to lunch.
When I came back, the technician showed me a panel on the driver side dashboard that he had broken during the dash cam installation, so we had to make another appointment about a week later to take care of that.
A couple days later, I realized that my moon roof no longer worked and called the technician to let him know. He said he would investigate when he installed the dashboard panel that he had broken.
After he fixed the panel, I asked about the moon roof and he said the only thing it could be was a fuse. He then said that he checked all the fuses and everything looked fine. I then informed him that everything WAS fine until he installed the dash cam, and then everything WASN’T fine.
He then said that my car looked pretty new and that it was probably still under warranty, and that the dealership would probably cover it. I let him know that this is not how car warranties work, so he said that if they diagnosed it and found that the problem was due to Best Buy’s installation, to go ahead and pay the dealership, then bring the invoice back (with written acknowledgment from the dealer that it was Best Buy’s fault), and then Best Buy would reimburse me.
The dealership found that both my moon roof and my front proximity sensors were both non-functional because neither were getting any power due to a MISSING FUSE. The dealership charged me almost $200 for this diagnosis. As the Best Buy car audio technician was the only person who had worked on my car, it was pretty obvious to me what had happened.
Fortunately, I learned a long time ago that, when something like this happens, to keep detailed notes on the timeline of events. When I brought the dealership invoice to the General Manager of my local Best Buy, I was able to give him a detailed account of what happened and who I spoke to throughout the entire process.
After several days, the General Manager had completed his investigation and decided to go ahead and honor my request. I was reimbursed and this chapter in my life was closed.
Just remember, keep detailed notes on the timeline of events ANYTIME a company messes something up. Sometimes resolution can take weeks or months, but you have a better chance of averting a crisis if you can quickly inform the Manager (or whoever has the power to fix the issue) exactly what happened and when.
This was my first experience using Best Buy’s mobile audio install department. While it wasn’t ideal, because of their fair and honest treatment, it probably won’t be my last.

GREAT. matter of fact... magnificent. Can't remember the names of the technicians that did my install, but they were great. I was late to my appointment by 10 minutes. And forgot my dash camera at home ...I went home and grabbed it dropped off my car and they were still finished before I had to pick up my kids. Dude said he would be done at 1:30 and he was in fact done at 1:28..

The technician was quite competent and was able to do the dash cam installation quickly and it all looks good. I would give a five stars but he seemed very reluctant to swap out the Rexing V5 with the Rexing M2 and tried to convince me the M2 did not have the features I was looking for. (he was the same technician who installed the Rexing V5). I informed him that I had already talked with Rexing Support and was assured the M2 would provide the blind spot detection (BSD) I really needed. He told me he was leaving the V5 rear camera in place and returning the M2. He said he had checked and the V5 camera was compatible with the M2. I reached out to Rexing and was told that in order to get the BSD, I had to use the M2 camera. Unfortunately the installation was done Sunday morning and I didn't get the information from Rexing until Monday. Looking at the returns receipt and the fact that the BSD, etc., is working, I believe the technician discovered that he had to swap out the V5 camera and did so. I need to confirm this.
In closing, I would trust him to install vehicle electronics - he knows what he's doing. Sometimes a customer has done her homework and her decision needs to be respected.

I had a Vantrue N4 installed using this service. It has a front and rear camera.
First, they knew what they were talking about. I wanted it hardwired. I already had purchased the kit, but the tech knew to ask me if I had it. Tech also informed me about the issues associated with that - a hardwired camera will pull power from the battery even if the car is off, so they asked me will I be driving every day, etc. He was versed in what parking mode was and knew what I was talking about. Its almost impossible to find places that will perform this service - but to know how it works top to bottom was a breath of fresh air.
Second was the price. It's hard to believe you can get automotive work like this done for the price advertised. Best Buy is true to their pricing - there were no hidden fees. A few people I talked to almost didn't believe it only cost me about $90.
Finally, the install was nothing short of perfection. I have a powered liftgate, back camera lifts with the gate fine, the cord isn't dangling (meaning there's 0 risk the cord will get pinched when closing the gate), and all the wiring is 100% hidden.
I had bought this car 4 days ago, it still smells new, so I was concerned about having someone go in ripping my panels apart. Especially for $90: cheap labor equals cheap job but this was not the case! But after inspection there's no sign anyone ever touched my car besides the fact that I had a camera hanging from the dash.
