Where do they mount the backup camera? to the license plate?
I would like the mirror to be hard-wired, and not powered by a cable plugged into the lighter. Can this be done with this unit?
Would hard-wiring drain my battery? Thx! null

Hi Evan! Usually on top of the license plate or around it. Yes the M2 can be hardwired and we suggest it to activate the Parking Monitor function. Check out our new intelligent hardwire kit that has motion sensors that trigger recordings while off and parked. Our hardwire kits uses a low voltage so there is no risk to the battery draining.
