• Hello! Yes, the V1P's mount has a lock mechanism that would allow you to remove it from the mount without having to redo the mounting installation process.

• Yes, you can detach the front camera from the mount and take it with you. The mounting mechanism can be glued to the windshield or any other mounting surface, but the camera can be detached from the mount.
