Yes this Rexing has twin cameras. One towards the front and one towards the back which captures the entire cabin. As far as reading license plates the answer is absolutely! This is one of if not the best dashcam available. Captures beautiful videos and has GPS to show your current speed. Trust me, you’ll be glad you bought it!

The first one had a frozen frame and only recorded the audio. Then it IR kept on blinking and making annoying noise (screen off and on) repeatedly when filming inside at night. Then it went dark and one day stops works entirely. NO and NO
