You would need a ring base station. You would then be able to control the sensor with the ring app on your phone.

Yes, you can buy these for $19.99 each or in a 2 pack for $39.98. I bought the 6 pack because it was actually cheaper that way they were $99 for a 6-pack so it cost approx $16.50 for each one in my 6-pack, so I was able to save some money. If you buy these in the single, double, or 6-pack you can do so without having to buy any other ring products they do come with the batteries already installed. The Ring website sells the single pack and the double pack, but not the 6-pack . We bought our 6-pack at Best Buy/it was cheaper than Amazon.
