No, this item can only used thru Ring's alarm system because its operation requires it. You cannot link them!

No, the Ring Alarm Motion Detector requires the Ring Alarm Base Station in order to setup to the Ring app and start detecting motion. Although, the Ring Smart Lighting Motion Detector is our Motion detector that's designed to be linked with our Ring lights to activate them with motion. The Ring Smart Lighting Motion Detector is also designed for outdoor use. The Ring Smart Lighting Motion detector does require a bridge device in order to setup and link with your Ring lights.
