Hi Mounting.

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your question. We do not recommend using screws to mount the Ring Alarm Motion Detector as it can inhibit the performance of the device. For optimal performance, we advise peeling the tape from the adhesive pads and adhearing the device to a clean and dry wall, 7-8 feet from the ground.
