It will work with any wi-fi inside your house. You don’t need cable.

The Ring Alarm Base Station can connect to the internet via Ethernet or via a/b/g/n 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz wifi networks. You can't use both wifi and Ethernet at the same time, but you can change the connection at any time. If you subscribe to the Ring Protect Pro subscription, your base station will also have cellular backup to protect your home even if the internet goes down.
