“Since the keypad is not hardwired, does it need to be plugged in? How is it powered?”

• The keypad is mounted to a little slide in bracket, so you can slide it out. It comes with the cord, to run or charge it. Fully charged the keypad runs for several months. I can’t remember how many but I’m thinking 6
