Is wifi required to receive on my I phone. null

Hi Jon, You will need to connect your device to your home WiFi during the setup process. After this, you do not necessarily need to turn your WiFi on on your phone specifically, as you can still use the Ring App through your cellular data as well. I am sure it is . They have an App and if your main WiFi Box is far from the Cam you will need a WIFI Extender . We have one in our garage and it works great for our Cam and Ring Door Bell .You can call Ring to be 100% sure (800) 656-1918 . Hope this helps
