“can I just have my electrician do it? we have a flood light already outside it is hooked up to a switch inside our home to turn it on and off, does it matter? I want to view our home always if we are home or away.”

• Hi Masb, Yes, installing Floodlight Cam requires hardwiring hot, or live, wires into a standard junction box. Ring highly recommends that you engage a licensed electrician for this. • You just use the existing wiring to hook up the camera. Black to black white to white and ground to ground. As for the switch, you would want to leave it on so that the ring camera is always on. There is no battery backup in this.
