Considering the Ring - Floodlight Cam for my backyard. I would hard wire it to the existing back porch light fixture that is about 7' off the ground. I read that it is suggested to mount it at the height of 9'. Will this be a problem? null

Hi Rich,

Nine feet (three meters) off the ground is the optimal height to get the best range for the motion detector but, you can certainly give seven a try!
