Is it possible to adjust it where it won't alert when an animal walks by but will if human does? null

You can adjust the sensitivity and also the area in the picture that will trigger on motion.

Yes, in theory. In the app you can turn sensitivity from "everything" down to "people". You can also modify the range. I turned mine down to "people" and range as small as it would go, but the lights still went on and off all night from the slightest breeze moving leaves. I removed the unit and returned it.

We have a cat that visits our front porch all through the night. I have it set to people only mode. Well, apparently, Ring thinks an 8 lb cat is a person! DISGUSTED! I wish I had known this before I invested so much money in Ring products.

Also, if you try to get help, they will try to get you to jump through a million hoops in spite of the fact that, if you google the problem, it is well-known and a VERY common issue. Ring finally admitted to one guy that the problem is known and they are working on it but the problem continues on into a new year... and a new year... and a new year. So much for Ring having a "people only" mode.

Do like me and warm people that a working "people only" mode (especially on wired modules) does NOT exist.
