• Yes, I have it inside of a glass slider attached to the handle with a zip tie. I don't use this door so it works fine for me.

• I have not tried placing it directly near a window but mine does show my deck outside my slider. I would think glare may come into play during some times of the day. I have ring doorbells front and back which give great views of my property
