A:AnswerIf you have the Protect Basic plan, you'd have to purchase a separate plan for each device. If you have (or upgrade to) the Project Plus plan, every Ring device at your location is covered for one monthly fee.
A:AnswerEach camera can be set up individually. Set up is through the app, is very easy to follow, and not dependent on both cameras being used in the same network.
A:AnswerI have 4 Ring spotcams with solar panels. I do not have a Ring Doorbell or Ring hub. You need a solar panel for each spotcam. I would say you would not need a hub from Ring or even a hub as mine work awesome. Best wireless camera on the market. Solar panel works great. Yay make sure it gets the right amount of sun. I buying 2 more but the range is awesome and so is clarity. I wouldn’t buy any other outdoor camera.
A:AnswerI believe you can have the spotlight cam without the ring doorbell camera. I don't see why you would be required to have the doorbell in order to use the other types of cameras, as each one works individually.
A:AnswerHi Joeed,
Unfortunately not, but, please email me directly at Bilan.jenkins@ring.com so that I can provide you with some additional options. I look forward to hearing from you!

A:AnswerI hope so, where I installed mine it is exposed to weather. But I made sure I got the two year replacement plan. So far seems to be no problem has rained plenty of times.
A:AnswerVery similar to the doorbell camera. Time stamp is recorded by the app and held for quite a period of time. I was able to go back 2 weeks in my data. Ours seems to go off even as far away as our paver area which is at least 10 feet (see video upload)
A:AnswerHi Taz,
Spotlight Cam Wired plugs into standard power outlets to give you non-stop power, so you’ll never need to charge a battery. If you have any additional questions, let me know: Bilan.jenkins@ring.com.

A:AnswerYou can zoom in live and video feeds but can not control motion but it detects up to 30 feet lile mine goes from my front door past my yard and fence to the street to across the street to my neighbors side walk if I want it that far and detects lile 180 degrees motion I feel. If you set it at an angle with the optional attachments provided by ring 2 it gave me plenty of room and I bought extra spot light 2 pack instead if 1 for 100 bucks more that cover the res of the yard and inside the home lol (Although not intended for inside use).
A:AnswerHi Darth,
Great question.
So all of our Ring devices do work independently from one another. You are, however, able to monitor all your Ring devices from the same Ring app.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email me at Kaitlyn.rosenthal@ring.com.

A:AnswerYes you can. As long as you have it connected to your home WiFi network or by other means, it would be no problem. Just know that there will be some lag depending on the strength of the internet connection. There is also a payment plan you can subscribe to if you want it to be recorded to the cloud. If you don’t pay for the subscription, then the only access you would have is just the live function. If you are using the battery powered camera, just know that the battery doesn’t last as long as they claim. They sell a solar panel if that is going to be an issue. Supposedly the solar panel charges the camera faster than it drains, so there shouldn’t be any worry if you go that route. Hope this helps :)
A:AnswerHi Mimi,
Thanks for reaching out.
Yes, you are able to install our Spotlight Cam Solar Panel on your own, however, we would be more than happy to put you in contact with Hellotech, our current national installation partner. Additionally, you can purchase our Spotlight Cam Solar Panel directly from our Ring.com website.

While our Spotlight Cam Solar Panel is weather-resistant, we do not recommend that your Solar Panel be submerged in water.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email me directly at Kaitlyn.rosenthal@ring.com.

A:AnswerHi Red,
Thanks for reaching out.
Yes. Once you've completed setting up your Ring device in your app, it will be attached to the Ring account in that app as a sort of "master account." If you wish to use multiple devices to control your Ring device, simply download the Ring app onto the additional devices and use the same account credentials to register the app. Note however that doing so will give full control over your Ring device.
