QuestionHow do I adjust the sensitivity? Under Motion Settings, I have motion frequency on "light" but birds and even bird shadows as they fly by set it off every few minutes.

- Answer Make sure you have the motion detector, the white part on the bottom of the camera, level. This will insure that the detector is only looking straight out and down. I had the same problem with my driveway camera and this solved it. See the instructions.

- Answer They are bright enough for the camera and you can manually turn on the lights via the Ring App. As far as using it to light up your porch for just hanging out. Probably not best for it. If you want to do that, I would recommend getting the Ring Floodlights to go along with the Ring Cameras. You can even link them together to have each turn on if motion is detected on the other. Plus they are LED and put out more light in my opinion than the camera lights. Good luck!

QuestionI'm looking for how far the camera can see on a horizontal plan if the floodlight camera is installed on the side of a building. I know it has a 140 degree view from side to side - but I'm looking for the depth of how far it can see. Thank you.

- Answer Hi Moose, Ring Spotlight Cam Battery does not require plugging in for connection. The Spotlight Cam Battery has the ability to hold two Ring battery packs for long-lasting battery life. QuestionHad a ring 2 installed by ADT , very satisfied. I now want add one to back deck myself. I just want the battery camera feature. Do I have to drill, house is stucco or is there an adhesive I can use for the brackets?

- Answer Adhesives would eventually come off. They come with anchors for that type of material so you can use the screw to hang the mount

- Answer Hey John, that is a loaded question. The reason is because it will all depend on your router, and if you have what they call a repeater or an extender. That has very little to do with this system as a whole. It all depends on what the ranges for your router, extender, repeater depending on how far your barn is as well as if there are any obstacles in between them.

- Answer The ring monitoring was 100 bucks for the year for as many cameras as you set up and they store the videos so you can view them at your leisure in the app.. We love this system.

- Answer Yes it does . However you have to have the perfect place for it to mount where you’d like it to face because if not you’ll have a bad image. The mount does not allow you to adjust the facing position and it will bust! We returned outs because of that and there is no after market bracket for this. If you do have a good spot for it the range is good and it will alert you and the image and voice is pretty clear.

- Answer You have to read the box. Ring makes both Hard Wired and Not hard wired. I have one of each of the three. I have one that is Hard Wired , that is a Spotlight Cam. I also have the stick up up one that you have to recharge the battery and the Stick up cam with the solar charger. They all work very well. The Solar one has two rechargeable batteries and seems to be holding a good charge. The Spotlight Cams are Hard wired.

- Answer No, not that I’m aware of. I’ve studied the app quite well and have learned all the features. The only way to activate the siren is to do it manually. Once you’ve been notified of activity near your camera it takes just a moment to look and see if there is any suspicious activity. Then BAM... scare the begeebers out of them!

- Answer Turned off completely no, they are preset to record video and alert you when they detect motion. The motion field can be adjusted, you can choose whether or not to also activate the light, and you can manually control the siren and two way audio. You can click “live feed” and manually activate any of your cameras instantly in the app also. The only way to completely turn the cameras off is to remove the battery.
